Sometimes I get the urge to write. To tell what's on my mind. But I don't. I can run through everything I can say. But I don't. I'm trying to work on it and write whats on my mind. Because its moments like these where I feel like it may be important. I just got done watching a move, Remember Me. Amazing movie. Amazing actors. But there is a quote from the movie that stuck with me.
"Gandhi said that whatever you do in life will be insignificant. But it's
very important that you do it. I tend to agree with the first part."
And at the beginning of the movie, I had also tended to agree with the first part. At the end of the movie? I didn't. Everything we do affects someone else in some way. Sometimes it doesn't feel like it. Sometimes we truly believe people don't care or that it won't even matter in the end. But it does. A smile to a person can change a life. A simple hello. An agreement to meet someone somewhere. To be at a place at a certain time. To do something absolutely crazy. Do do absolutely nothing. No matter what you do or don't do it matters. It matters because it will affect something, someone, anything. What we do can be insignificant. Writing this blog? It can be insignificant to the greater part of life. But it is important that I do it. How will I ever know that maybe, somewhere someday, someone might read it and it could change a life. Maybe this will never be read. But hey, there is always hope that it will. Hope that someone will know that you are important and what you do is important, no matter how small. I like how the actor rephrases his quote at the end.
"Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it's very important
that you do it. Because nobody else will."
I'll leave it at that. I suggest watching the movie Remember Me. It might just surprise you.

Good For No Reason
Today I was asked this question....
Why are you like this? Your good to everyone..... all the time.... your so good to people.
When I thought about it, my reason was I value other before myself. I truly believe that everyone has good in them and just need the chance to show it. We have all faced trouble in life that has changed us in some way. It doesn't mean that you turned bad or that your a bad person. It just means it can be harder to find the good. I think that people really don't have a reason to be good to other people other than to make that person and to care for someone, or at least make an effort to be nice. People do have good in them. I wholeheartedly believe that. Some just choose to not make the effort to see it or to find it in themselves. Some things people may find normal and natural, others might see as great act of kindness or good. So I believe this quote:
The little things count.
You never know what the littlest things can do to change the biggest of things. Never forget the little things, because it can change everything. A smile can change a life; a helping hand or a single word can change the outcome that could have turned for the worse. It makes the biggest of differences. So don't judge someone or treat someone differently from how they act. You never know what they could have faced or what they have experienced.... How its changed them to who they are. See the good in them, it changes many outlooks. Give someone a chance to show the good in them, even if they can't see their own good. Have faith in them. It is amazing how much it can help to just be there for someone, or to help them in any way shape or form, from physical to mental help or a simple word or a giving hand. Trust in them, and they will trust in return. You never know what will happen. It's like they say, we see what we believe but it is true faith to believe in what we cannot see.... Or it goes something like that. I believe that because we can't see the future but we believe it will keep going. We can't see what a person will do or what they will say, but we can have faith that they will do good. And most people will reward you with a trust that is so great to have. Its such a good feeling to know that someone trusts you, and that you have helped someone. Everyone needs help, all in different ways. They just may not know it.
Anyways got off rambling. So here is my parting line:
Be good for no reason, and good will come back to you more than you sent in a way you wouldn't expect it :)
